It was probably a year ago (June 2006) that both
VFC and Inokatsu both announced that they would issue a 1918 BAR. However when
VFC introduced their A2 version at 2006 Tokyo Model show and posted a video on
You Tube. Inokatsu pulled out of the BAR race.I knew this was an AEG that I
must have. I even went so far as to order a BAR mag belt from "At The
Front" a year in advance. The BAR is my Holy Grail. The old JAC gas
version was out of the question as it was very rare and commands prices up to US$3400 and I'm not really a gas gun fan either
When WGC issued a pre order price on the web for US$1500 I
quickly put my order in. Apparently this was not fast enough as they were
snatched up quickly. I contacted WGC and put my name on the wait list and had
constant contact with their sales team in Hong Kong.
Thursday, 8th June. WGC called and they had one for me... I was ecstatic. They
had my Holy Grail. Someone gave up their order...yes!
As a foot note I must say WGC get's top marks from me.
