This illustration does not even come close to giving an accurate description of the density of the jungle; however it does give you on idea of the possible terrain and the foliage.

One possible tactic to defend the bunker and the sensitive information contained therein would be to vacate the bunker with a few exceptions. Leave behind one sniper team, (sniper and spotter) and maybe one more 3 man fire team.

The rest of the team sets up two ambush locations. One smaller ambush to the south and one to the north east.

The first southern ambush will let the opposition continue to think their strongest opposition will come from the front, forcing the survivors to the east to join up with the stronger element coming around from the east.

When the opposition is in place, the second ambush will commence.

While the opposition is moving east and north, the first ambush team will circle back around the attacking force and hang back holding fire until the attacking force is in the right position, known as the KZ. When, the ambush commences the backdoor ambush team will then pick off any stragglers that might want to escape via retreating.

The sniper element that was left behind in the bunker will shoot at targets of opportunity. And the 3 man fire team will hold fire unless some of the attacking team makes it out of the ambush and past the sniper and near the bunker, at that time the 3 man fire team will take out any targets of opportunity.
