Airsoft Upgrades: DIY Airsoft Airseal Nozzle

This simple airsoft nozzle modification was conceptualized since last year and only got it to the implementation stage this December. It is basically a sealed nozzle except that instead of the O-ring resting inside a notch on the inside diameter of the airsoft nozzle (Like the airsoft sealed nozzle available in the market today) the o-ring seal is located outside the airsoft nozzle mounted by using adhesive. You can use the stock airsoft nozzle and expect real FPS gain (around 15-30 FPS)… This is a very easy modification for airsofters who are good in DIY gun (aeg) teching… This mod is very good for airsofters who want to squeeze a bit more FPS to their stock aeg (air electric guns) without spending too much on upgrade parts.

The tricky part is looking for a small o-ring that’ll fit nicely on the aeg cylinder head’s gas tube (tight enough to provide ample seal but not too tight to hinder the nozzles movement over the aeg cylinder head’s gas tube).

Procedure:

1. Mount the o-ring on the aeg cylinder head’s gas tube base.

2. Carefully apply adhesive on the lip of o-ring (I suggest using a strong adhesive for this like lock-tite or something similar and be careful not to put any adhesive on the gas tube)

3. Slide the airsoft nozzle on the aeg cylinder head’s gas tube so that it’ll merge properly with the o-ring.

4. Make sure that the airsoft nozzle is properly merge with the o-ring to provide proper air seal.

Once the adhesive is dry… Try sliding the nozzle back and forth over the C.H (Cylinder Head) gas tube…You’ll notice that the o-ring will be a bit tight over the CH gas tube that means that it’s doing it’s job in sealing the air in…. But if it’s too tight that it already hinders movement…try applying some silicon lubricant and “break in” the o-ring by sliding it up and down till it  moves more easily down the CH gas tube… Now don't forget to apply some lubrication so it will slide easily on the cylinder head's tube base.

Note:

If some adhesive makes it way on the CH gas tube be sure you properly clean it since it’ll hinder the nozzle’s movement and might cause your tappet plate to break.

Also check the clearance of the nozzle o-ring with the tappet plate installed to see if it’s not too thick to cause the tappet plate to flex during it’s cycle…. If it’s too thick sand some material off the o-ring with fine grade sandpaper.

So yan ang munting nozzle mod ko na matagal ko ng naiisip since last year
pa kaso last dec ko palang sinubukan and tnkfully it truly works.
It's just based on air sealed nozzle workings without the cavity for the oring.
With this nozzle mod my fps is really stable and of course mas mataas sya may be 15-30 fps more. Super tipid pa hehe.

All you need is to look for is a small oring that is a little bit tight fit on the cylinder head's tube base para sa nozzle tapos idikit lang yun sa pwet nozzle. just use the cylinder head tube to mount the oring then apply the adheasive then simply push in the nozzle to it so it's perfect merge. dapat maganda pagkadikit ng oring sa nozzle para ala ng tagas tlga so kiskisan muna sila para dumikit mabuti. mighty bond lang ginamit ko dyan i'm sure may mas ok pa na pandikit dun so kayo na bahala hehe.

You'll notice if you slide it back and forth that it is quite tight and that's the secret to a really good air sealed nozzle,
IT SHLD BE TIGHT especially near the edge of the cylinder head's tube where the nozzle is in contact to a bb ready to blow it away.

Now don't forget to apply some lubrication so it will slide easily on the cylinder head's tube base.
